Based out of MIT, the Systems Architecture Team serves as the VDS intellectual capital bank. Comprised of 6 full-time team members, and supported by a large pool of industry mentors and advisors, this group this group is tasked with designing the the systemic architecture of the VDS Vision. This team is responsible for collating the technical output generated by the VDS subsystem teams, as well as developing and maintaining the following items:

• MATLAB model of the Vision car
• Simulink model of the interaction between systems and control designs
• CAD/Solidworks model of the general systems
• Proposed aerodynamic shape to the body
• Scale model of proposed design
  
• Analysis of life cycle assessments for each subsystem
  
• Recommendations to technical teams for energy and weight budgets for their design
• Several journal articles documenting their work
