Vehicle Design Summit 2.0 is composed of a 31 teams drawn from the worlds pre-eminent research universities and advised by the globe's leading industry partners. Cumulatively, this group is made of more than 1,000 undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students. Each team is advised by a faculty member and an industry mentor who together play a key role in ensuring that the work done by each team exceeds its respective system requirements, meets project deadlines, and is carefully documented. The designs that come out of the technical team flow through the Systems Architecture Team. The technical teams are divided into six technical groups as follows: Propulsion, Body, Chassis, Electrical, Human-Machine Interface, and Production. There are also four system's lever groups which lead systems co-optimization efforts around safety, user experience, production and mobility.
