While VDS is currently focused on initial market introduction in India (see the flow of work from consortium to stem cell concept to localized product to final product coded in blue) our more ambitious aim is to understand what would drive a real sustainable mobility revolution. We understand that this will have much to do with how the vehicle is used but also feel that the vehicle's core architecture or essential principles should be global while all of the functionality of the vehicle (its look, feel, response to the road and interactions with driver and passengers) should be quite regional. By developing a vehicle first for an Indian market and then Chinese and European we hope to identify what is regional and what global. A mentor reminded us that science is global and technology local. Our aim is to understand what this means for a mobility providing, fun driving car.
